REMANUFACTURED

Like-New, Faster

Save time and money with remanufactured substations, rebuilt to like-new standards.

/Customization/

Meet any spec.

Meet your exact requirements with transformers designed, built, and tested in accordance with the highest industry standards, including NEMA, ANSI, DOE, and IEEE as applicable.

On-Load Tap Changer

On-load tap changers let you adjust voltage without taking the transformer offline, helping keep power steady and avoiding unnecessary downtime during normal operation.

Pressure Relief Device

Pressure relief devices release excess internal pressure if something goes wrong inside the tank, protecting the transformer from damage and improving site safety.

Fan Package (ONAN/ONAF)

Fan packages cool the transformer based on load demand, using natural cooling under normal loads and forced-air cooling when the transformer is carrying heavier loads.

Primary Load-Interrupter Switch

Primary load-interrupter switches give crews a safe way to disconnect and isolate the transformer under load, making maintenance easier and protecting the rest of the system.

FR3 Oil

FR3 oil is a biodegradable alternative to mineral oil that offers better fire safety, longer insulation life for extended transformer performance, and reduced environmental risk.

Gauges with Contacts

Gauges track key transformer conditions like oil level, temperature, and pressure, sending alarms when readings move out of range so issues can be caught early.

/FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS/

Questions Engineers Ask

What's the difference between cooling classes?

ONAN (Oil Natural, Air Natural) relies on natural convection and is standard on most substation units. ONAF adds a fan package that engages under heavier load, letting the same core and coil carry more kVA without a larger frame.

Close coupling pairs a substation transformer directly with adjacent switchgear or a load-interrupter switch, shortening bus runs and tightening the footprint — useful where yard space or arc-flash boundaries are limited.

Yes. Remanufactured units are inspected, tested, and rebuilt to like-new electrical standards, and typically cost less than a new build with a shorter lead time. Each one ships with test reports.

Stock units can generally be returned or exchanged within a set window if they haven’t been installed or energized; custom-built units are non-returnable once production starts.

Domestic build and sourcing options are available for projects that require Buy America or similar compliance. Let your rep know up front so the quote reflects the right manufacturing path.
